Fancy Footwork goes 90ies

Munichs most beloved indie party installment "Fancy Footwork" celebrates a new addition: "Cupcakes Club", playing saccharine Y2K anthems and grungy 90ies hits. Having been a fan of and friends with the host for a decade, he approached me to bring "Cupcakes Club" to life.

Concept

Think Lisa Frank, think doodles on your homework, think bubblegum and unicorns – the Cupcakes Club style had to be over the top, burstingly sweet and as bubbly as they come.

Pairing the font Cherry Bomb One with a custom colour palette and hand drawn patterns including 90ies icons, the visuality feels familiar and poppy, without being abrasive. Perfect for social media and potential merchandise products in the future.
